K-State Libraries Internal Systems Status Page

(09:02 — Mar 15) – The Start Time has Changed to 6PM this evening.

The evening of March 15th Campus IT will be performing maintenance to the campus network starting at 6:00PM. Hale Library will have brief outages during the maintenance periord while intenret traffic is routed over the different pathways on campus.

During the work, if basic functionality (Internet connectivity, routing, GlobalProtect, VPN, or building connectivity does not work, the issues will be worked on to try to find a resolution. If we run into unforeseen issues where this functionality is not performing correctly and doesn’t appear that it will be in a timely manner, we will reach a point where we roll back to the original hardware. If problems can be resolved quickly enough, we will reschedule for March 16th for the same 6:00pm to 6am March 17th.

(12:52 — Mar 13) – The upgrade has been completed.

StaffNet will be unavailable during the scheduled maintenance in order to perform necessary system updates.

(08:35 — Mar 2) – The upgrade has been completed.

The ticketing system will be unavailable for a few minutes to perform a system upgrade.

(21:58 — Jan 29) – The upgrade has been completed.

K-REx will be unavailable starting at 9PM on 1/29/2023 for system maintenance and software upgrade.

(09:06 — Jan 27) – It should be working now. Please report back if not.

(07:30 — Jan 27) – Issues connecting to the K-State VPN via GlobalProtect have been reported and is currently being investigated.

We ran into issues during the upgrade, and rolled back the changes. We will schedule another attempt in the future once we work through the issues. (13:28 — Jan 26)

K-REx will be unavailable starting at 12PM on 1/26/2023 for system maintenance and software upgrade.

K-REx will be unavailable starting at 9AM on 1/12/2023 for system maintenance and software upgrade.

The network maintenance that was scheduled for tonight has been canceled. IT is working with the vendor to reschedule the maintenance. (14:52 — Jan 11)

The Division of Information Technology will perform network maintenance between 5:30 p.m. and midnight on Wednesday, Jan. 11. During the maintenance, periodic disruptions will occur on the K-State networks, and individuals on campus may have trouble accessing the internet during the maintenance.

The upgrade to the Olive release has been completed (10:15 — Jan 10)

We will be upgrading the New Literacies Alliance Open edX instance from Nutmeg to Olive. During this time, the system will be unavailable.
